Yazan Halwani has a big job back in his home of Lebanon. He flies the flag as graffiti artist and street artist in a country where the streets are not always safe. His role as a communicator in the public arena is like a cultural bridge maker, bringing the street to the people, art to the streets and art of the Middle East to the rest of the world. Mannheim, Germany is a different playing feild with different circumstances. And the Stadt Wand Kunst festival was the perfect platform for Halwani to artistically shine, bringing together elements from the east and the west in an impressive intercultural mural.
