The German writing scene is internationally well-known. One reason for this is certainly the high quality of the work and the large number of artists, which generates a lot of output and consistently puts Germany on the map. Every small town and village has at least one or two people who express their creativity through spray paint. However, that doesn’t mean that every town is blessed with style. For small towns like Freital, it’s a bit of an underestimated privilege to have at least one high-quality writer.

And so it happened that @mr.searok not only brought photorealistic murals to Freital, but also sometimes invited his friends from across the country. His last gathering took place in late spring 2024, where he brought FLOYD, PTOONS, POSA, BRAIN PAINT CIRCLE, CHR15, SIROM, AZME, BIRDY, and ROWDY to town.

With a well-chosen color scheme provided by @montanacans, the artists painted around 200m² of concrete, blending hard styles with dark characters. A soft color scheme, contrasting with the theme of the wall, emphasized the pieces beautifully. The weather wasn’t particularly on their side that weekend, making the painting process quite challenging.

And, as is typical in Germany, everyone kept warm with beer—and more beer—well into the night. The next morning, with no beer cans left, they all got back to their spray cans and finished up their work. We think the result is truly impressive, and Freital has definitely become a bit more beautiful.
