The recent Portuguese festival ET CETERA, had a participating artist involved that is very close to our hearts here at Montana Cans. Nuno Viegas is a unique artist that has specialised in using the technical skills of a graffiti artist with symbols of our culture. But in a way that few other artists can manage to do well. In his recent work at the ET CETERA festival in Faro, Viegas created “Glove X Fat Cap II“, which cleverly brings together the much loved fat cap and the all too familiar sight of a gloved hand, covered in paint dust and splatters. The artwork powered by Montana GOLD, is a nod to the classic yet mandatory tools of just about any writer on the planet. Or at least at some point in nearly every artist’s career, they will wear a glove to paint and use a fat cap.

Viegas has the ability to place the right image in the right proportions, even though the proportions are on a massive scale. And the artworks progress were captured on film by David Piedade. Something for everyone is the result even though the work is uncompromising and true to what the artist is concerned with.
