In the last weeks of the project we painted several walls in different parts of Scampia. Among others in the building complex of the “7 Palazzi” where the word of something interesting going on spread immediately, so dozens of kids gathered to see what we were doing.

An other wall we did is right in front of the metro entrance of Scampia, one of the most bussy places of the neighborhood. It was a good feeling to have done this spot, where most of the kids pass by almost everyday. Some police cars that drove by while we were painting stopped, but seemed to decide not to intervene. A lot of other cars stopped to tell us how much they liked what we were doing.

The last day of the project, after having finished a wall, we decided to do an excursion to a public park in the close-by neighborhood of Chiaiano, where we had a great afternoon reflecting about the experiences that we made during the project, observing the local seniors play professional Bocce and playing football with local band of adolescents who challenged us. The public park of Chiaiano is also a point where Breakers from all parts of the city meet to practice together. So we hang around with them and who dared stepped on the floor himself.
