Last month, Montana Store Vienna invited renowned graffiti artist SHANE to the city for a special collaboration. Known for his vibrant pieces and global impact in the graffiti scene, SHANE left his mark on the Montana Store Vienna with a fresh, dynamic mural and launched an exclusive, limited-edition shirt to commemorate the event, which is still available while stocks last.
With two decades of graffiti experience, SHANE’s journey began in a small town in Normandy, eventually leading him to Paris, where he’s lived for 18 years. Reflecting on his artistic journey, SHANE shares, “Graffiti opened the door to the art world for me and gave me the skills to become an illustrator. It taught me adaptability, as painting a wall requires adjusting both technique and subject.”
SHANE’s adaptability has taken him worldwide, connecting him with other influential artists, each contributing to his unique style. His current focus is inspired by the Vienna Secession and the Arts and Crafts movement, which aligns closely with his desire to make art accessible and integrated into everyday life. “I want art to be something for everyone, something present in any object of life. I see graffiti as part of this—adding color to the cityscape, bringing joy to people as they go about their day,” he explains.
For SHANE, Vienna offers a rich artistic backdrop. The city’s history, particularly in the realms of art and craftsmanship, made an impression during his visit. “Vienna’s amazing background in art, especially with the Secession and Arts and Crafts movement, resonates deeply with my work right now. It was inspiring to visit some of the city’s museums and explore this artistic heritage.” As part of his collaboration with Montana Store Vienna, SHANE created a limited-edition shirt featuring his signature style. The shirts are available exclusively at the Montana Store Vienna, as long as stocks last—don’t miss out on a chance to own a piece of SHANE’s art in wearable form!
