Pop- and Gigposter- artists Christian Fernandez www.graustufen.de and Götzilla www.rockposter.de, who recently joined forces and founded the Antighost Siebdruckwerkstatt www.antighost.de in Mannheim’s Jungbusch area, used Montana Acrylic paint and markers to create their latest series of prints titled “GOD SAVE HELVETICA”.
In a completely analoge process, they call “Analog Experimentelle Siebdruck Typography”, black Montana markers were used to create seemingly random patterns and splashes directly on transparent films, which were then used to burn the screens. Montana Acrylic Paint was then mixed with screen printing paste and used for printing. A vintage Letraset Rub-Off-Lettering sheet was used to burn the screen for the Helvetica.
