At Montanacans, we’ve had our eye on HEIS & ZAY from the Jukebox Cowboys (JBCB) in Hamburg for quite some time. Their unique style and collaborative spirit have made them stand out in the European graffiti scene, and we’re thrilled to share a glimpse of their most recent creations with you.

HEIS & ZAY have been making waves across Europe with their vibrant and dynamic productions. However, the spotlight is currently on their latest masterpiece, the “Mind Control” wall, which they brought to life during the “Aan Hogerwal” jam in Wageningen, Netherlands. This work exemplifies their ability to blend form and color seamlessly, creating visually stunning pieces with a deep connection to their love for old school funk.

“Mind Control” Wall

Some words from Heis about their collaborative artworks:

,,My journey with ZAY began in 2008, thanks to a mutual friend and Hamburg Subway legend, King EBBE, who introduced us. Our shared passion for graffiti quickly turned into a deep friendship, and together with King EBBE, we formed the BFF Crew. Over the years, ZAY has become not just a friend but also an inspiring partner who continually pushes me to evolve artistically. Our collaboration is rooted in a mutual understanding of style. We both appreciate the old school funk aesthetic, which is evident in our work. Whether we’re tackling a wall or working on individual pieces, our synergy is undeniable. We operate like a well-oiled machine, trusting each other implicitly in every aspect of our creative process.,,
