In the aftermath of catastrophic floods that have shaken Valencia, a community of international artists has come together to support the city’s recovery through art. Launched by artist Felipe Pantone and his team, the “Auction for Action” is a one-of-a-kind auction initiative with a clear goal: to raise funds to aid Valencia’s comeback, one artwork at a time. Featuring an impressive lineup of pieces from renowned artists including Ana Barriga, Okuda, Demsky, Jaime Hayon, PichiAvo, Sopopomo, Felipe Pantone, Pilar Zeta, Säid Kinos, Rosh333, and many more yet to be announced, this initiative is both a celebration of creativity and a call to action.
AUCTION FOR ACTION
“Auction for Action” showcases an array of diverse works, from affordable pieces starting at €300 to high-end art valued in the tens of thousands. Many of these works come from artists whose pieces are rarely available to the public, making this event an exceptional opportunity for collectors and supporters alike. And this is just the beginning—new artworks are continuously being added as the community of artists rallies to assist Valencia. Enthusiastic supporters on social media, especially on Instagram, have already started amplifying the event, further fueling momentum for this cause.
A Deeply Personal Mission
The origins of this initiative are deeply rooted in the personal experience of Felipe Pantone, whose own studio sustained significant flood damage. Remarkably, none of the auction funds will go toward his studio repairs. Instead, every euro raised will be directed to trusted local foundations committed to Valencia’s recovery. One such beneficiary is Coloring the World Foundation, which is coordinating efforts to channel donations to the most affected areas. Discussions are also underway with another respected Valencia-based foundation to ensure that resources reach those in greatest need. These foundations have been carefully chosen for their transparency, integrity, and dedication to long-term recovery efforts.
SUPPORT THE AUCTION
“Though my studio and artwork were impacted by the DANA storm, I don’t consider myself a victim. This initiative is about lifting up the people of Valencia. Every donation from this auction will go directly to foundations dedicated to supporting the recovery of our city and its communities. Together, through art, we’re helping Valencia rise stronger.” — Felipe Pantone
The “Auction for Action” is a reminder that in times of crisis, art has the power not only to inspire but to rebuild. By participating in this initiative, whether by bidding on a piece or spreading the word, you’re joining a global community working to uplift the city of Valencia. Together, through the transformative power of art, we can help Valencia emerge from this tragedy stronger than ever.
