In the Stadthafen (city harbor) of Essen in Germany, there was movement in the air. Also the smell of Montana-Cans as the Montana BLACK was stacked and prepared for urban application while the scents were also complimented by the sizzle of a barbecue and some nice music echoing through the underpasses. Artist from the surrounding area as well as a couple of additions from Netherlands and South America came together to make the Hafendampf graffiti gathering monumental for the 5th time. Growing to be the biggest graffiti event in the NRW district of Germany, Hafendampf also catered for the new school of graffiti writers with workshops to cement the region as a hot spot for now and the future for Germany and Europe’s graffiti movement.
