2024 marked the 30th anniversary of the Bridge Jam—an incredible milestone for an event that started as a small gathering of writers and has grown into a significant part of the graffiti community. Looking back, it’s hard to believe that something I began as a young kid would continue for three decades and become such an important tradition.

This year presented an unexpected challenge. Construction work at the site forced us to postpone the jam, and as the months passed, it seemed increasingly difficult to make it happen. But the milestone couldn’t be ignored, and eventually, I decided to organize a smaller event in December. Not the most ideal time of year, with low temperatures and limited daylight, but it had to be done.

Despite the cold, the energy and dedication of the writers remained strong. The lineup was a great mix—some of the younger, more active writers alongside legends who have been part of the jam since day one. The atmosphere was a testament to the legacy of Bridge Jam, showing that passion for graffiti transcends generations.

Line-up:

Sums, Toar, Nizmo, Reak, Kone, Kayos & Rask

For the concept, I kept it simple but effective: the classic Top Cat cartoon. The reaction from the passing audience was amazing, proving once again that the connection between graffiti and pop culture remains as powerful as ever. Completing the wall was a challenge. The short daylight hours and freezing temperatures tested our resolve, but nothing worthwhile ever comes easy. With dedication, we pushed through and brought another chapter of Bridge Jam to life. 30 years of history now stand completed. Here’s to 30 more.
