COLOURS OF RESILIENCE: On the evening of Friday June 6th the “Colors of Resilience” exhibition by Herakut and AptArt in Frankfurt, opened to the general public in a unique gallery location next to the MONTANA-STORE Frankfurt. During the day the exhibition was open for school classes that came to see and talk to Herakut about the refugee topic in Syria. Peter Feldman, the Lord Mayor of Frankfurt was also there as the official patron of the exhibition. The impressive installation of Herakut’s work and children’s paintings brought the condition of the refugees daily reality in Jordan to the fore.
Beside great herakut paintings and beautiful photographies by Falk Lehmann (aka Akut of Herakut), the richness and details were awe inspiring. A touching piece was the hanging circle installation that welcomed the visitor to enter, see, listen and smell. This was definitely a sobering insight into the world of the refugee camp…. The show runs till 20th of June which is World Refugee day.
